Summer in the Region of Murcia brings plenty of excuses to get out and celebrate and few events capture that spirit quite like Jumilla's wine harvest festival. Raquel Tours is offering a special evening excursion on Saturday August 22, priced at just €35 per person, taking guests to the heart of one of the area's most colourful traditions.

 

Jumilla has built an international reputation for its winemaking, with the Monastrell grape forming the backbone of a heritage that stretches back generations. Each summer, the town channels that pride into the Fiestas de la Vendimia, its annual celebration of the grape harvest, when the streets fill with music, colour and an exciting festive buzz that's hard to find anywhere else.

 

The evening's centrepiece is the Grand Wine Parade, where residents and visitors join together in a shared celebration of everything the local wine culture represents. Wine flows freely through the streets during the festivities, and the atmosphere builds into something guests won't forget in a hurry.
