This week in the Region of Murcia, the weather forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts rain and gathering storms, with very cloudy skies but luckily wind that is not too strong.
While temperatures will not drop too much during this stormy week – with minimums ranging from 8-13ºC in the north of the Region and 15-17ºC in the south, plus daytime maximums of 21-25ºC for most – it will be much more overcast and grey than we have become used to of late.
Monday May 5 isn’t too bad, with Aemet predicting a settled morning and just some increased cloud cover as the day goes on, bringing spots of rain to the area around Totana and Fuente Álamo in the afternoon.

The rain becomes more widespread across the Region on Tuesday May 6, turning heavier towards the afternoon, especially in inland areas.

Aemet’s forecast is for rain pretty much all of Wednesday 7, in every single part of Murcia, clearing up towards the evening. Windspeeds, however, will not rise above a gentle 10kmh.

When the rain kicks in again on Thursday morning, May 8, it will be accompanied by fog rolling in and heavy thunderstorms that are currently forecast to last all day long.

The current weather forecast for Friday and going into the weekend is for more settled weather, if not completely dry and sunny. Of course, this forecast is liable to change as weather conditions develop and models of prediction are altered, so keep an eye out for any updates as the week goes on.
