Emergency health services were called to the scene of an accident in the early hours of Sunday morning after a vehicle travelling on the RM-2 road left the highway, crashed through a barrier and ended up in a ravine in Alhama de Murcia .
The incident occurred at 06.53 am at the exit of the industrial estate in Alhama de Murcia.
At the scene, a crew of firefighters from the Consortium for Fire Fighting and Rescue of the Region of Murcia (CEIS), patrols of the Civil Guard and Local Police, 3 ambulances and a Mobile Emergency Unit with health personnel from the 061 Emergencies services cut the injured from the vehicle and treated the immediate injuries at the scene, subsequently transferring all of the wounded to the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital in Murcia.
The two men and two women, aged between 21 and 32 years old, all required hospital treatment, and one of the four is dscribed as being in a serious condition.
