Summer sizzler returns with 38ºC temperatures: Murcia weather forecast July 27-30
Each day will become hotter than the last as high pressure settles over southern Spain once again
After a slightly more comfortable weekend, the respite won't last long. Temperatures are set to creep upwards again across the Region of Murcia this week as high pressure settles over southern Spain once more.
While Monday will feel relatively manageable by recent standards, each day will become progressively hotter, with inland areas once again edging towards the high 30s by Thursday.
Monday July 27

The week gets off to a fairly pleasant start, with sunny skies across most of the Region following some early low cloud in a few areas.
Temperatures will be noticeably lower than those seen during last week's heatwave, making outdoor activities far more comfortable. Inland towns can expect highs of around 34ºC, while coastal resorts will benefit from the sea breeze and remain a few degrees cooler.
Winds will be light easterlies for much of the day, strengthening slightly during the afternoon.
Tuesday July 28

Another dry, sunny day is on the cards, although some inland valleys could wake up to patches of early morning mist or low cloud before the sunshine takes over.
Temperatures will begin climbing again, with inland areas such as Caravaca reaching around 35ºC. Coastal areas should continue to avoid the worst of the heat, helped by moderate onshore breezes.
Overall, it'll feel a little warmer than Monday, but still well below the extremes experienced last week.
Wednesday July 29

The mercury takes a noticeable jump on Wednesday as the next hot spell begins to take hold.
Clear skies and a veil of Saharan dust will dominate the forecast, making conditions feel even hotter, particularly during the afternoon.
Highs of around 37ºC are expected in Lorca and Caravaca, while Yecla reaches 36ºC. Coastal areas will also warm up, although the Mediterranean breeze should continue to provide some relief.
Thursday July 30

Thursday looks set to be the hottest day of the week so far.
Wall-to-wall sunshine will continue, accompanied by hazy skies as suspended dust lingers over the Region. Temperatures will remain at similar levels to Wednesday or edge slightly higher in some areas, with Yecla forecast to reach a sweltering 38ºC. Much of the Guadalentín Valley and inland parts of the Region will once again experience intense afternoon heat.
Light easterly winds will offer little cooling effect away from the coast.
