ARCHIVED - Guardia Civil families donate more than half a ton of food to the regional Food Bank
Many initiatives are taking place within the region to help those worst affected by the pandemic
There are many campaigns being undertaken across the region to collect non-perishable dry foods which can be donated to those suffering the effects of the coronavirus crisis, most of which are never reported.
This image relates to a collection carried out by the Guardia Civíl of the region and their families, who have donated 500 kilos of non-perishable foods, including legumes, rice, preserves, milk and oil, to the Banco de Alimentos del Segura association this week, for onward distribution to the needy in the region through the network of food banks servicing the charities and voluntary services of the region.
