ARCHIVED - Benidorm provides the backdrop for international fashion campaign
Benidorm, on the Costa Blanca in Alicante province, has been chosen as the backdrop for an international fashion campaign.
The hugely popular resort of Benidorm in the Alicante province has been selected by fashion chain Zara as the setting for its new campaign, focusing on its lingerie line.
The shooting of Six North for Zara Woman took place last week at emblematic locations such as Benidorm's El Castell, and was released onto the Spanish retailer's website on Wednesday, May 12.
Stunning images were also captured at Karting Benidorm in Avenida de la Comunidad Valenciana and Hotel Madeira Centro Hotel close to Levante Beach.
The shoot, which was completed in 48 hours, and Benidorm was apparently selected as the perfect backdrop for the campaign as opposed to cities such as Barcelona and Madrid because of its "sunlit locations and summer atmosphere".
As well as boosting the resort's profile, it's estimated the 26-strong production team, which spent two days in Benidorm, gave the local economy a little lift spending €25,000 on accommodation and hospitality.
