ARCHIVED - Tuesday: number of active Covid cases in Murcia drops back down to 59
The number of cases relating to the Bolivian outbreak rises to 17
As Murcia enters day two of the new normality it’s encouraging to see the number of active cases dropping back down to levels seen before the recent outbreak relating to three Bolivian nationals who returned to their permanent home in the Murcia Region last week, bringing the Covid virus with them.
The number of cases relating to this particular outbreak increased to 17 today, but the remaining figures relating to the region were all positive.
The figures published today relate to Monday and during the last 24 hours the number of cured patients increased by 11, bringing the total of active cases down by 10 to 59.
This leaves just one new case diagnosed by swab test on Monday, which is related to the Bolivian outbreak.
This brings the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 3,275.
As of Tuesday there are now seven patients in hospital, two of them in intensive case and the remaining 52 at home in domestic quarantine.
The fatalities remain unchanged at 150.
