ARCHIVED - Cartagena permits residents in outlying districts to exercise between 6am and 11pm
This applies to many areas including La Azohía, Los Belones, Playa Honda etc.
Image: Cartagena beach services cleaning the beaches this week. Walking along beaches is permitted at the moment although it is not permitted to sunbathe.
Cartagena council has granted greater liberty to many of those living in the outlying districts of this vast municipality, giving them the same freedom to exercise as other areas in the region which have lifted the exercise restrictions during phase one.
Last weekend the Spanish government extended the liberty given to areas of low urban density from 5,000 to 10,000 head of population, removing restrictions on the hours during which exercise, including walks, can be taken.
This applies to residents of the following areas:
Alumbres, Molinos Marfagones, Pozo Estrecho, El Algar, La Aljorra, Perín, El Albujón, La Puebla-La Aparecida, Isla Plana-La Azohía, El Llano, La Palma, Los Urrutias, Los Nietos, Punta Brava, el Carmolí, Islas Menores, Mar de Cristal, Los Belones, Playa Honda, Playa Paraíso, Cabo de Palos, Miranda, Santa Ana and el Polígono de Santa Ana
At the moment La Manga del Mar Menor remains outside of the areas granted these extra hours, due principally to the fact that it is divided between the Cartagena and San Javier municipalities and san Javier council has taken the decision not to modify its hours.
Should the Murcia region be accepted into phase 2 at the weekend, then all areas of the municipality will be able to exercise freely.
