ARCHIVED - 30th July, flamenco giant José Mercé performs live in Bolnuevo
The free concert takes place at the eroded rocks on the coastline of Mazarrón
José Mercé, one of the giants of the current flamenco scene in Spain, is performing live at the eroded rocks of Bolnuevo near Puerto de Mazarrón on Friday 30th July at 22.00.
Free tickets for the most important concert in Mazarrón this summer will be made available as of midnight on 14th/15th July via the website www.maresdepapel.es: attendance is free but the pandemic makes it necessary to limit the numbers in the audience.
José has released 19 albums since his debut in 1968 and is considered to be the very essence of the flamenco singer of “cantaor”. He has also worked with leading figures in other genres including Louis Armstrong, Luis Eduardo Aute, the Pop Tops and Joan Manuel Serrat, extending flamenco to wider audiences.
